I went to investigate and saw him, but the only words I got out was, "Hey!" as he laughed at me and then walked through the wall... He seemed to be about six years old in dirty 1800's-style clothing. I heard that there was an old school house where the Isle is now, but from my research since, that doesn't seem to have been true. He asked me simply, and kind of in an embarrassed way, if I ever "felt" that someone was watching me. I had had those senses several times, but only in certain casinos...I would hear people talking, and I always thought the voices were casino employees...in one casino especially, the voices were always downstairs, near the poker tables...I would sense someone walking by me...behind me, and that is when I would hear the voices...but upon turning to look, no one was anywhere nearby. Yet, I could still sense that there were people standing close to me, watching me...have you ever felt someone's eyes on you? Its that kind of feeling...its really odd... I do remember much of what Joan wrote. I was one year behind her in school and always waited until I went home for lunch to go to the bathroom. Bathrooms were added when I was in second grade but the coal stove was there through my sixth grade year, after that I went to Gilpin High School. The donkeys that were around the school were our donkeys and think that was in the early 50's. Dad owned the Peak To Peak Bar where the Bullwacker is now standing. His name was Tom Collins. I went to school first grade thru the 4th in that school and Bobby Clay and myself were the only two in our class and all the class were in the one room. . Mrs. Garwood was our teacher.
