Thomas Carroll Rosson
December 30, 1958 – October 4, 2008
Tom passed from this life on October 4th, 2008, at Evergreen Hospice in Kirkland, Washington at the age of 49, after valiantly battling cancer for more than two years.
Tom was born December 30, 1958 in Houston, Texas to Mary Lou and Lee Rosson. He was raised in Houston, Texas and Vashon Island, Washington. In 1981, Tom married Roxanne Standley in Houston. They had two children, Clifford Lee and Meagan Lorraine. During his lifetime Tom worked for Houston Light & Power; Eclectic Institute in Texas and Colorado; Stonegate Realty in Idaho Springs, Colorado; and for Outback Habitat Steel Buildings in Onalaska, Washington.
Tom was a passionate man. He loved his family, living in Colorado, hiking, skiing, and music. When asked about living in Colorado, he would say it was a nine year vacation. From his youth, Tom was a gifted guitar player and especially loved playing bluegrass music. He enjoyed nothing more than jamming with his friends. He shared his musical talent by being part of the worship team at his church; he played with a folk/bluegrass band in Houston, and accompanied various artists.
Tom’s children, Cliff and Meagan, both graduated from Gilpin County High School. Besides his kids, Tom is survived by his wife Roxanne. They all reside in Seattle, Washington. He is also survived by his parents, Lee and Mary Lou Rosson, of Onalaska, Washington; sister Mary Lee Calmes, Woodinville, Washington; sister Katheryn Sullivan, Estacada, Oregon; and brother Clifford, of Portland, Oregon.
Publisher’s Note: Tom was one of my best and long-time friends, and is sorely missed. Aaron Storms
