Gilpin Elementary Student of the Week

05/29/2008 - This week’s Student of the Week is eight year-old Lindsey James. Lindsey is in Susan Sepanik’s third grade class at Gilpin Elementary. Sepanik says that “Lindsey always does her personal best, both academically and socially.” Lindsey says she “loves how nice the teachers are” at Gilpin School. Miss James likes gym and literacy best during school. She is currently reading Charlotte’s Web and the Forgotten Filly. Her love of horses shows at both school and at home where she enjoys riding her horse named Fancy. During the end of season tournament for Gilpin Pee Wee Wrestling, James gave it her all and didn’t lose a match! She also enjoys volleyball and soccer. Lindsey advises students to always try their best and “be ready for anything.” Congratulations Lindsey from the Gilpin County News!”
