Eldorado Canyon State Park holds 6th annual photography contest 05/15/2008 - Eldorado Canyon State Park is looking for outstanding photos of rock climbing and general photography featuring the people and places of Eldorado Canyon in all seasons. Visitors are encouraged to bring a camera and snap away to win fabulous prizes. Photo Contest categories include: Rock Climbing, People Enjoying Eldorado Canyon (fishing, snowshoeing, hiking), Landscape (panoramic and up-close), Flora (plants/trees/wildflowers) and Fauna (wildlife). Eldorado Canyon State Park is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and is looking for exciting photos to help celebrate the beauty and unique history of Eldorado Canyon. Entrants can submit their favorite shots from any season – maybe last winter’s photo will be this year’s contest winner. Previous photo entries have been used in Colorado State Parks’, Eldorado Canyon’s, and sponsors’ brochures, ads, calendars, fliers, websites, postcards and more. Eldorado Canyon reserves the right to use the photos with appropriate credits. The grand prize winner will receive a Colorado State Parks Annual Pass and a great gift from Mike’s Camera. Category winners will also receive a prize. The contest runs from May 16 to June 20. Entries must be received by June 20. Visitors will be able to help judge the photos when they are placed on display in the Visitor Center from June 27 to September 14. Winners will be announced no later than September 22.
