Regional Wrestling Tournament in Akron

02/15/2007 - The Gilpin County High School Wrestlers traveled to Akron for a two day 2A Regional Tournament.  Three out of the six wrestlers placed.  Senior Austin Bell placed 5th at 135lb class, Senior Doug Ball placed 6th at 145lbs class, and Sophomore David Gerhardus placed 6th at 160lbs class. It was great to watch these boys improve so much throughout the season. The team wants to thank Head Coaches Ryan Witzel and Asst. Coach Jeremy Hanson, the Managers Christen Routt and Crystal Baker, and photographer/Asst. Manager Megan Ball.
