01/18/2007 - This Week Gilpin Wrestlers traveled to Lions for a 17 team Invitational. Even though this was a very competitive tournament with mostly 4A schools, all the boys won at least one match. Doug Ball and Austin Bell made it to the semi finals but lost those matches. Doug Ball went into 4 over times before losing his last match.  The records for the day were as followed: Doug Ball (Senior) at 145lbs won 3-2, Austin Bell (Senior) at 135lbs won 2-2, Aaron Newsome (Senior) at 189lbs won 1-2 by forfeit, Dan Levesque (Sophomore) at 140lbs won 2-2, David Gerhardus (Sophomore) at 160lbs won 2-2, David Yerkman (Freshman) at 119lbs won 1-3, Aaron Williams (Freshman) at 112lbs won 1-3. On Saturday the team will be in Kiowa.
