Jim Carrey double feature showing at Gilpin Schools 2/2/2006 - Gilpin County, CO – Gilpin Schools’ Student Council and Booster Club are showing a double feature of Jim Carrey movies, Saturday, February 11th, starting at 5:00 p.m. with “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events.” If you are a fan of Jim Carrey, Meryl Streep and Jude Law, you don’t want to miss this screening. US Weekly calls it, “An Extremely Fortunate Event for children and their parents,” and the Washington Post refers to this movie as, “Dastardly Good.” Come see how the Baudelaire orphans, Violet (the inventor), Klaus (the reader/researcher) and Sonny (who likes to bite people) fare with their ‘Beloved Count Olaf’ (Carrey) in this comic thriller rated PG. The 7:00 p.m. showing of another one of Carrey’s best, “Dumb and Dumber” is sure to tickle your funny bone. Voted MTV’s best comedy of the year “Dumb and Dumber” stars Jim Carrey as Lloyd, Jeff Daniels as Harry, and chronicles their adventure from Rhode Island to Aspen, CO to find the beautiful lady who left her suitcase in Lloyd’s limousine. The situations these two get themselves into are hilarious.
